Pastor Rick Johnson accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1968. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO with a BA in Theology and has been in the ministry since 1974. Pastor Rick served for eighteen years at Kansas City Baptist Temple as Associate Pastor in the areas of Youth, Adult Sunday School, Discipleship, Music Ministry and Missions. In 1996, God directed Pastor Rick to start First Bible Baptist Church in Blue Springs, MO.

Rick and his wife, Becky, have been married since 1972. They have four sons and three daughters in law: Aaron and JoAnna, Stephen and Billie-Jo, David and Erin, and Mark. They also have five grandchildren.



Assistant Pastor: Mark Brown

 

Pastor Mark Brown came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior in July, 1983, while playing baseball with the Baltimore Orioles. After leaving professional baseball, he settled at First Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, NY, where he was trained in the gospel ministry as a leader in Discipleship, Sports and Youth ministries. In 1998, God called Mark and his family to First Bible Baptist Church in Blue Springs, where he ministered as Youth Pastor for 10 years. He currently serves as Assistant Pastor and Director of ADP Sports.

 

Mark and his wife, Sheryl, were married in 1985, and have three daughters: Victoria, Kathleen and Kristine.



Senior High Pastor: Rick Adams

 

Rick Adams was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Savior in January of 1973. Rick graduated from Christ Unlimited Bible Institute, a ministry of Youth for Christ, in 1984. He studied in Shepherd’s School of Ministry at the Kansas City Baptist Temple from 1985-1988 and graduated from Central Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 1996. Rick joined FBBC in 1997 and has ministered to both Youth and Singles.

 

Rick and Kathryn have been married since 2002.

 

 

Stephen Johnson was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Savior on November 23, 1985. Stephen studied in Shepherd’s School of Ministry at Kansas City Baptist Temple from 2006 to 2007. Stephen is a charter member of First Bible Baptist Church and has been involved in many different ministries including Young Adults, Discipleship, Sports, Connections and Facility Management. Stephen felt the Lord call him to minister to the young people and his desire is to see them come to know and grow in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Stephen and his wife, Billie-Jo, have been married since 1998. They have three children: Kaylee, Jessica, and Cody.

 

 

 

Bryon accepted the Lord Jesus Christ through the ministry of First Bible Baptist Church. He has been an active member since his conversion on November 14, 1999. He graduated from Shepherd’s School of Ministry at Kansas City Baptist Temple, and has ministered in the Singles Ministry as well as ADP Sports and Discipleship. In the winter of 2007, on a mission trip to Merida, Mexico, God broke Bryon’s heart, and changed the direction of his life, giving him a desire to minister to children.

 

Bryon and Tammy have four children, Tonya, Loren, Aubrey and Titus.

 

Randy was raised in a Christian home yet realized at a summer camp in 1974 that he needed to ask Jesus Christ to be his own Lord and Savior. Randy graduated from Shepherd School of Ministry at Kansas City Baptist Temple in 1988. He has ministered in the areas of Jr. High, Discipleship, and Sports. It was Randy’s first mission trip in 1986 to Colombia, South America, where God touched his heart for world missions. It is the desire of FBBC, and a passion that Randy has, to see people all over the world to come to know Christ as Lord and Savior.

 

Randy and Linda married in 1988, and have two children, Andrew & Katy.
